WUKONG is on a mission to bring his own breed of genre, Oriental Rave to the world.

Deeply influenced by traditional Chinese culture, the Singaporean DJ/producer has a bigger goal of promoting Asian culture and values to the world. Blending ethnic Asian elements, unique sounds and maximalist visuals, he creates an entirely new experience in the electronic genre, in which mythology and pop culture meets electronic music.

Despite only debuting in 2019, he has established himself as one of the biggest dance names in the region, headlining and selling out shows all over the continent at some of the most esteemed venues globally including Top 100 DJ Mag Clubs including in Vietnam (1900) Singapore (Zouk), Thailand (Spaceplus), Malaysia (Pitt), Taipei (Wave) among more.

On the festival circuit, he has been locked in more than ever in the last 18 months, performing at the likes of ZOUKOUT (SG), Creamfields Vietnam, Bia Saigon Chill (VN) and Siam Songkran (TH), Neon Music Festival (MY), Djakarta Warehouse Project (ID) as he has fast become a must-have name on every lineup for his unique style of show. 2024 is only getting bigger, having completed a massive Indonesia tour consisting of a record 13 shows in different cities, plus debut shows also confirmed in new territories later on in the year.

True to his mission of Oriental Rave, he has seamlessly incorporated Live Chinese Orchestra and Opera into his performances at ZOUKOUT (SG) 2023 and Pitt Club (KL) 2024 to showcase an immersive visual and auditory experience. Diving deeper into Asian elements and combining it with electronic music, it is truly an experience to behold.

On the music side, his viral hit, ‘Legend of Wong Fei Hung’ has amassed hundreds of millions of impressions in China and globally, with many other tracks of his going viral on Tiktok and social media platforms, leading to his rising popularity. The second remake of ‘Legend Of Wong Fei Hung: Rebirth’ has also been a major success, becoming the most viral and breakout hard dance track in Asia. In just a short span of 3 months, it has hit 4 billion combined views on Tiktok/ Douyin/ Youtube.

In 2023, WUKONG saw himself rank at #107 in DJ Mag’s global DJ rankings, while releasing music on the likes of Liquid State (Sony Music + Tencent Music JV), Spinnin’ Records, Barong Family. A number of high profile collaborations with Ben Nicky and Dimatik have been released, with even bigger singles on the way.
